‘That’s So Raven’ child star sentenced to 2 years in federal prison

(Gray News) - A child star best known for sitcoms like “That’s So Raven” has been sentenced to more than two years in prison.

Bobbe Thompson, 30, was sentenced in Iowa federal court to 30 months behind bars followed by three years of supervised release, according to a press release.

Prosecutors said troopers clocked Thompson driving 104 mph in a 70-mph zone on Sept. 22, 2025.

During the traffic stop, authorities discovered a loaded .40-caliber pistol that had been reported stolen from a vehicle in Kansas City, Missouri.

A federal grand jury indicted Thompson in January, and he pleaded guilty in April to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Thompson’s sentence will run consecutively with any potential prison time stemming from pending criminal cases in Washington and Missouri. U.S.

Thompson rose to fame as a child actor in the 2000s, playing Stanley on “That’s So Raven” and starring as Ronnie Shields in the 2008 comedy “Role Models.”

His credits also include “30 Rock,” Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne,” and MTV’s “Wild ’N Out.”
