Comedian Carrot Top hospitalized in Las Vegas, reports say

(Gray News) - Comedian Carrot Top was hospitalized in Las Vegas, according to multiple reports.

Carrot Top’s representative Jami Schlicher told NBC News that the comedian is “recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs.”

The representative did not disclose why the performer was hospitalized or provide further details about his condition.

His Friday show at the Luxor Hotel & Casino was reportedly canceled following the emergency. As of Friday night, Carrot Top’s social media accounts have not posted any statements regarding the cancellation or his reported mental health crisis.

“His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy,” Schlicher said.

Carrot Top, 61, is known for prop comedy, multicolor outfits and his large and unruly mane of red hair.

He has had a residency at the Luxor Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas that began in 2005.
