Jhas Williams
Digital Anchor

Jhas Williams is the Digital Anchor for WBRC 6 News Now. You can watch Jhas on WBRC’s streaming channels weekdays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and she produces video content for WBRC's social media pages.
A proud south Jersey/Philly native, Jhas started her journalism career as a morning show radio personality. From there she merged into print as a freelance writer for ESSENCE Magazine, Rantt, Relevant and other publications writing on race, mental health, and more. Aside from New Jersey and Philadelphia, Jhas has lived in Los Angeles, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Buffalo, NY, and Tampa, Florida.
A true northeasterner, Jhas has strong opinions about things she doesn’t like that many southerners might disagree with – like Cowboys fans, touristy cheesesteak places, sugar in grits, and what should actually be considered a snow day.
But among the things she loves are her dogs, Cali and Boo, her incredible husband, and championing suicide awareness. She's also particularly fond of light-hearted sarcasm and wit!
When Jhas is not on-air, you can find her spending time with her dogs, at karaoke, screaming things at the Philadelphia Eagles, working on her children's book, or at yoga. But if you have a story idea that impacts the community, or a good horror movie suggestion, please feel free to send her an email at jhas.williams@wbrc.com
