A New York lender has filed paperwork in Jefferson County to collect on a nearly $400,000 default judgment against Rodney Scott’s BBQ Charleston and several Alabama companies tied to the collapsed Pihakis Restaurant Group.

Nick Pihakis, the Birmingham restaurateur behind Hero Doughnuts, Little Donkey, Rodney Scott’s BBQ and other local brands, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy Thursday, Aug. 6 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
