(CNN) - Federal safety officials are warning customers to stop using nearly 400,000 pressure cookers linked to serious burn injuries.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says people should stop using Power Quick Pot 6-quart pressure cookers immediately and dispose of them.

Officials say the lids can open while the cookers are still pressurized, causing hot contents to shoot out. The agency has received 24 reports of the malfunction, resulting in serious burns.

The affected cookers were sold online on such sites as Walmart.com and Amazon.com and at retailers nationwide between 2018 and 2023.

The model number, which can be found on the back of the cookers, is Y6D-36.

Officials say the importer, Tristar Products, has refused to issue a recall or offer a remedy to customers.
