Local veterans connect with officials to help get connected to VA services, benefits

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Local veterans across the area received important access Thursday with help from several groups, including the Birmingham VA Health Care System.

Veterans at the fair were able to get connected with a variety of resources, from healthcare and insurance to compensation and pensions benefits.

“So many benefits left on the table. A lot of them might need eye glasses, dental work, you know, prescriptions that’s high outside of the VA. They can probably get it with the VA for free,” an official said.
