Woman injured after firearm accidentally discharged at Chelsea Walmart
CHELSEA, Ala. (WBRC) - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after they said a woman accidental fired her weapon inside the Chelsea Walmart early Monday evening.
Deputies were called to the store around 7:24 p.m. after reports that a firearm was accidentally discharged inside the store.
We’re told their initial investigation determined a woman in the store accidentally discharged her personal firearm striking herself.
The woman, deputies said, suffered what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury. She was taken by personal vehicle to an area hospital for treatment.
Store operations resumed a short time after the incident.
