Lincoln Elementary introducing students to STEM ideas, new careers

LINCOLN, Ala. (WBRC) - The folks at Lincoln Elementary School hosted PowerUp along with their Alabama STEM road show to educate their students.

Shoney Brice of PowerUp EDU says it’s important to start training students when they’re young and curious about science and learning. Students are introduced to STEM ideas and new careers in science, math and technology.

”We were one of the three schools that were chosen to be featured for this event and we’re just so excited to have them here. Anything hands on, new innovation, technology,” said Crystal Waites.

“STEM is the science part. Thinking into different fields of science. Biology, the chemistry, the physics. Going into technology that can go from anything to AI to media,” said Shoney Brice.

The Alabama STEM roadshow will continue Thursday in Gadsden at Oscar Adams Elementary School.
