Local doctor needs help making and distributing supplies to area healthcare workers

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Dr. David Fieno, a local a cardiologist and internist with an inspired effort to help those in his field, needs your help to reach his goal.

Dr. Fieno has gathered the community and organized neighbors, and other practitioners to secure materials, sew, and distribute masks to healthcare workers who have struggled to find proper protective gear.

Fieno has purchased over 3,000 yards of N-99 surgical drape and the necessary materials and his team has been able to get hundreds of masks out per day...but with more help, want to increase that amount.

They even hope to have enough resources to help fight the virus across state lines.

Dr. Fieno and his team need volunteers who can sew masks, make deliveries to hospitals or ship materials and completed masks for out of state requests.
