First Alert Weather: Beautiful fall afternoon today; warmer days ahead

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Good afternoon!

The Next 24 Hours: It’s shaping up to be a terrific Sunday afternoon across central Alabama!

Plenty of sunshine should stick around, with temperatures climbing into the low-to-mid-70s. A light easterly breeze will add to the pleasant fall feel.

Skies should remain mostly clear tonight as temperatures settle into the upper 40s and lower 50s.

Monday looks just as nice, with sunshine and afternoon highs in the mid-70s.

The Next Big Thing: We’re heading into the final week of October with a stretch of quiet weather and a gradual warming trend. Tuesday and Wednesday should bring plenty of sunshine, with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid-to-upper 70s.

By Thursday and Friday, highs could approach 80 degrees in some communities. Mornings will gradually become milder, with temperatures climbing from the 40s into the 50s.

Rain chances should remain very limited throughout the workweek.

The Weekend: The first weekend of November looks to continue our warmer-than-average weather pattern.

Saturday should feature a mix of sunshine and clouds, with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Sunday looks similar, although a few more clouds may begin moving into the area.

There are some early indications of slim rain chances during the latter part of the weekend, by next Sunday. We have plenty of time to tweak the extended First Alert forecast, but some nice rainfall would certainly be appreciated!
