West Alabama school system approves adding more cameras in parking areas

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - A west Alabama school district has approved a new measure when it comes to school security.
The Tuscaloosa City Board of Education voted unanimously Tuesday night on a comprehensive package to install additional security cameras in five locations owned by the school district.
The new cameras will be installed in parking areas at Central High School, Northridge High School, Paul W. Bryant High School, the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Center, and their central office.
District leaders said there was no incident that prompted this move, just an ongoing effort to improve security for students and faculty.
