Miles women’s basketball wins SIAC championship for 3rd straight year

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - For the 3rd straight year, the Miles Golden Bears women’s basketball team are SIAC champions!

WE DID IT AGAIN!!!

The 3-PEAT IS COMPLETE! @Miles_wbb has won the 2026 @TheSIAC Women’s Basketball Tournament presented by @Toyota for the third consecutive season. The first time it has happened in this conference since 2003.

The Lady Bears defeated Lane Saturday afternoon 59-52, becoming the first program to win three straight titles since Fort Valley State from 2000-2003.

Miles will begin play in the Division II March Madness tournament in the South Region, beginning next week. The Bears will learn who their opponent is during Selection Sunday.
