Argo Police informing drivers of all-day road closure on July 30
ARGO, Ala. (WBRC) - The Argo Police Department is warning drivers about upcoming road closures that may impact their travel on Wednesday, July 30.
Police posted on Facebook to share that Argo Margaret Road will be closed from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. so crews can conduct railroad repairs and repave.
Police say no traffic will be able to cross or pass Buckeyes due to the closure. However, there will be detours in place.
The detours are:
- Blackjack Road to Moody
- Roulain Road to Cedar Creek to Mountain View Road
- County Road 12 to Highway 174 in Springville, which will allow drivers to access Interstate-59
Police said that detour signs will be posted and request drivers follow marked routes, as well as use caution when driving.
The Argo Police also said the city of Argo received official notice of the closure on Tuesday, July 29, and are working quickly to help manage traffic.
