Truck connected to Blount County murder located, suspect not in custody
BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - The Blount County Sheriff’s Office says a Ford F-150 connected to a deadly shooting in Blount County has been located at the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in west Birmingham.
According to authorities, on Tuesday morning, Feb. 10, 73-year-old James Eastis, a bond recovery agent, was attempting to execute a bond revocation on Francisco Sinecio-Alvarez along Harris Road in Hayden.
Authorities say Eastis was shot by Sinecio-Alvarez and later found dead inside the home. The sheriff’s office says Sinecio-Alvarez left the scene in the Ford F-150.
Sinecio-Alvarez has not been captured and an arrest warrant for murder has been issued. Sinecio-Alvarez is described as 5-foot-3 and weighs about 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

The truck and a gun, believed to be the murder weapon, were found at a church in the west Birmingham area on Tuesday night. The sheriff’s office says they believe it had been there since 5 p.m. based off what neighbors said.
Authorities say that it is possible Sinecio-Alvarez could have been picked up at the church where the truck was found. Authorities emphasized the church is not connected to the investigation.
Although a weapon was found in the truck, it is unknown if he has any other weapons, therefore authorities advise treating him as if he is armed and dangerous. They do not believe Sinecio-Alvarez is actively seeking further violence or violence to the public, but caution is to be taken if you see him.
Active leads are still being investigated and ongoing. Other agencies are assisting, according to Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon.
Anyone with any information about Sinceio-Alvarez’s whereabouts, or if you see him, is asked to call 911 or the Blount County Sheriff’s Office at (205) 625-4127. If you wish to give information and remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama at (205) 254-7777.
