The Cullman City Schools STEM Camp was housed at East Elementary School and is open to Cullman City students, as well as any students in the area who attend private schools, or are homeschooled, as long as they’ve completed any grade K-8.

According to Gov. Ivey’s Office, the camp aims to expand students’ knowledge of STEM and career development skills by focusing on teamwork, collaboration, leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.

“Governor Ivey has championed summer learning by partnering with the Alabama Legislature to allot state funding towards camps across the state, including the Cullman City Schools STEM Camp,” wrote Gov. Ivey’s Office.

The STEM Camp runs from July 7 to July 10, and July 14 to July 17 from 8 a.m. to noon. There are spots for 100 students in total at the camp with 40 spots open for students in grades K-2, 40 spots for students grades 3-5 and 20 spots for students grades 6-8, according to the Cullman City Schools District website.
