TALLADEGA, Ala. (WBRC) - The Talladega County Coroners Office is confirming the identities of the four people found dead in an apartment in Talladega on Saturday, July 5.
The Talladega Police Department says police found the bodies of the four people when they entered an apartment located in the 1500 block of Old Shocco Road for a welfare check.
Police found three males and one female dead inside the apartment.
According to Talladega County Coroner, Shaddix Murphy, the four people found were Querida Flores, a 30-year-old female; Jamari Evans, a 27-year-old male; Nicholas Keith, a 44-year-old male; and Jeffreon Keith, a 40-year-old male.
“You have taken a loved one from our perspective, their capabilities, and I don’t like that but I can tell you this, if your going to do it in the city of Talladega, you’re going to pick the wrong city to do it. And we’re going to have to do it, and we’re going to have to bring you to justice,” said Talladega City Manager Derrick Swanson.
A cause of death was not given for any of the victims, but a homicide investigation is underway.
Talladega Police say the victims bodies have been sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery.
