Samford football adds game at Baylor on 2025 schedule

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WBRC) - A big add to the football schedule for the Samford Bulldogs in 2025.

The program announced Thursday that they will travel to Waco, Texas to take on Big 12 opponent Baylor September 13.

By adding Baylor to the schedule, the Bulldogs now have two power 4 opponents on the calendar in 2025. Samford will also travel to Texas November 22 to take on Texas A&M.

The trip to Waco will be a little bit of a homecoming for Samford President Dr. Beck A. Taylor, who is a 1992 graduate of Baylor and served on the faculty from 1997-2005.

September’s matchup between the two programs will be the third meeting in series history.
