This year hasn’t gone the way Blazers fans would have liked. UAB is just 1-5 in the American Athletic Conference, 2-8 overall.

Both games left are conference games, so it’s possible UAB could improve their AAC record, but bowl eligibility is out the window. This is about pride in their final home game of the season.

What’s At Stake

The 15th-ranked Aggies are currently tied for first place in the SEC, securing them their first trip to the SEC Championship Game if they can win out.

Auburn, however, is searching for bowl eligibility. To hit that magic six-win mark, the Tigers also must win out.

The Tigers are underdogs this week and will be again when they face Alabama. If Auburn loses this weekend and the Iron Bowl, they’ll finish 4-8, the worst since going 3-9 in 2012, Gene Chizik’s last season on The Plains. Before that, you’d have to go all the way back to 1998 for a worse year.

What’s At Stake

For just the second time in school history, Alabama is traveling to Norman to take on Oklahoma. And it comes at a time when the Crimson Tide have no room for error.

Alabama rebounded from a disastrous October with huge wins over Missouri, LSU, and Mercer. They can not slip up now if they hope to preserve their path to the College Football Playoff.

It’s simple, win out and you’re in.
