Man drowns in Logan Martin Lake Monday night

RIVERSIDE, Ala. (WBRC) - A man drowned in Logan Martin Lake in St. Clair County Monday night.

The victim has been identified as Delbert Shaw. He was 72.

ALEA says Shaw fell off a pontoon boat while trying to help dock it. The incident happened near Rebecca Lane in a slough on Logan Martin Lake in St. Clair County.

Shaw’s body was recovered around 11:46 p.m. by the Pell City Fire and Rescue Dive Team, approximately 20 yards from where he fell into the water.

Nothing further is available as ALEA Marine Patrol Troopers continue to investigate.
