Grill brush recall expanded to include over 3.6 million brushes sold at Walmart, Amazon, other retailers

(Gray News) - A recall for grill brushes has been expanded to include more than 3.6 million brushes that were sold at Walmart, Amazon, Burlington, TJ Maxx, Ross and online at Cuisinart.

Why are the grill brushes recalled?

The grill brushes are recalled because the small metal wire bristles can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries.

Conair said it is aware of at least 54 reports where the bristles detached from the grill brushes. There have been at least three reports of people who swallowed metal bristles and had to seek medical treatment to remove the bristles from their digestive tract or throat.

How many grill brushes are included?

In July, 1,719,995 grill brushes were recalled. The expansion includes an additional 1,905,805 grill brushes.
