Louisville Ladder said the bolts on the ladders could break, causing someone to get hurt or fall to their death.

There have been 11 reports of a bolt breaking, including a report that someone was injured in the neck, head and back, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Where were the recalled ladders sold?

The ladders were sold nationwide between November 2012 and July 2026 by Home Depot, Lowe’s, Do It Best, Orgill, Amazon and other retailers for between $170 and $600.

How can I get a free repair kit?

If you have one of the ladders, you should stop using it immediately. Customers should go to www.atticstairwayrecall.expertinquiry.com to get a free repair kit. Customers will need the ladder’s model number, which is found inside the attic door.
