Man killed in wreck on I-59/20 in Bessemer

BESSEMER, Ala. (WBRC) - A Mississippi man was killed in a wreck on I-59/20 South on Friday, March 22.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says 30-year-old Jamaiyia Geivoca Foote from Macon, Mississippi, was driving an 18-wheeler when he was hit by a pickup truck that crossed the median into his travel lane.

The wreck happened on Interstate 59/20 South at Allison-Bonnett Memorial Drive at Exit 115 in Bessemer around 2 p.m.

ALEA says Foote was pronounced dead on the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the wreck are being investigated by ALEA.
