4 arrested after man killed in Tuscaloosa apartment shooting
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - A fourth person has been arrested in a deadly shooting that happened in January at an apartment complex.
Demarkus Hall was shot and killed at Landmark Apartments on Jan. 28.

Police say Hall was not a resident of the apartment complex, but was visiting friends there. Hall was found shot to death in his car in the parking lot. Investigation revealed that Hall was targeted for a robbery and was shot. Illegal drugs were involved in the case.
Cadarious Williams, 29, was arrested Wednesday night for felony murder. He is being held without bond pending Aniah’s Law.
Three other men have also been arrested in connection to the murder of Hall. Police say 44-year-old Kyandre Grant, 31-year-old Rashad Aaron and 34-year-old Jamil Prentice were arrested.
Kyandre Grant, 44, was charged with capital murder during the course of a robbery. He was arrested on Feb. 14 by the U.S. Marshall’s Smokey Mountain Regional Task Force and the Shelbyville, Tennessee Police Department.
Police say Grant’s prior offenses include robbery, domestic violence and murder. Grant was convicted of murder in 1996 for which he received a 20-year sentence. After extradition proceedings in Tennessee, Grant will be transported to Tuscaloosa County to be held with no bond.
Rashad Aaron, 31, was charged with felony murder and robbery, and his release was revoked on a prior first-degree burglary charge. He was arrested on Feb. 6. Police say he is currently being held with no bond pursuant to Aniah’s Law. Aaron’s prior offenses include robbery and burglary.
Police say Jamil Prentice, 34, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. He was arrested on Feb. 1. Prentice was released on $60,000 bond, but is currently in custody in another county on other charges.
Authorities say this has been a very complex investigation, and is ongoing. The suspects have extensive criminal histories, and took great pains to obscure their crime, destroy evidence, and elude capture.
All suspects are in custody, according to authorities.
Multiple agencies and divisions were involved in this case, including the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Cyber and Crimes Scene Units, Tuscaloosa Police Departments Cyber Unit and Major Crimes Crime Scene Unit, the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force, and the West Alabama Marshall’s Task Force.
