‘That’s a man I want to follow’: Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown speaks highly of coach Alex Golesh

TAMPA, Fla. (WBRC) - Auburn head coach Alex Golesh said Tuesday at SEC Media Days that he can see the confidence in new Tigers quarterback Byrum Brown.

Brown said he feels the exact same way about Golesh and talked about why he believes that Golesh will be successful.

“He’s the same guy everyday. He demands the absolute very best out of everyone that he comes in contact with. Cares for his players deeply, coaches deeply, he’s not going to ask you to do anything he wouldn’t do himself. So, you know, him just being the same guy everyday, demanding the very best, that’s a man I want to follow.”

Golesh and Brown will both be in their first season on the plains in 2026.
