K-9 Juul joins Jemison Police Department

JEMISON, Ala. (WBRC) - Meet Jemison’s newest police officer, Juul!

She is a 1-year-old Belgian Malinois. Jemison Police say Juul is narcotics trained and certified in detecting illegal drugs. Her partner and handler is Corporal Austin Pickett, who received his certification last week.

Police say Juul will be utilized on the streets, in schools, public relations events, and assisting other agencies when needed.

“We are excited and look forward to their partnership while serving our community. Thanks to those who worked with us, city officials and donors, to make this happen. Juul will be a huge asset to the department in making our city safer,” Jemison Police said on Facebook.
