Alleged flasher arrested again in Shelby County
SHELBY COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A Shelby County man accused of exposing himself has been arrested again.
John Woodruff was taken into custody last week for a SORNA (sex offender registration and community notification act) violation.
Woodruff told WBRC in February he had a "wardrobe malfunction" while trying on women's clothing at a boutique in Shelby County. According to court documents, Woodruff was recently found guilty on indecent exposure charges from another similar case in Alabaster. He's now appealing the case.
Two years ago, Woodruff also made headlines in Georgia after speaking with a local paper about why he started wearing skirts. He calls it "social experiments".
Woodruff's attorney and the Shelby County District Attorney's office aren't saying much at all about the case.
Before Woodruff's latest arrest, a condition of his release from jail on the indecent exposure charges is that he is not allowed to go into any women's accommodations like dressing rooms or restrooms according to court records.
