FIRST ALERT WEATHER: Snow possible as early as daybreak Friday

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Friday is a First Alert Weather day.
There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for areas south of I-59 and this includes our metro area.
Here is the latest forecast from J-P Dice:
- Snowfall mixed with rain will likely begin prior to daybreak Friday. We will see all snow at some point during the AM drive. This will mean travel could be impacted.
- Ground temperatures are above freezing which will limit any "nightmare" scenario.
- Air temperatures are above freezing.
- Most snowfall should end during the mid-afternoon.
- Accumulations will generally be less than 1" with high elevations a bit more
