Mobile woman dead after shooting outside Jemison gas station
JEMISON, AL (WBRC) - Jemison police have identified the person who was shot and killed outside a gas station Monday evening.
Around 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jemison PD was called to the I-65 exit 219 Chevron gas station.
When they arrived, the victim - 22-year-old Marsha Jasmine Westbrook of Mobile, Alabama - was found dead inside a vehicle.
Police immediately took a suspect into custody. She is identified as 30-year-old Khadija Egella Montgomery of Prichard, Alabama.
Montgomery has been charged with first degree murder. She is being held in the Chilton County Jail with a $150,000 bond.
Officials say the two women were acquaintances and were traveling in a vehicle together from southern Alabama.
No motive is known at this time. The investigation continues.
