Community helps mother with Christmas presents after all were stolen
BESSEMER, AL (WBRC) - An overwhelming amount of support from strangers.
That is how Constance Alexander would explain the last few days. We first told you about Constance on Friday when all of her 3-year-old daughters Christmas present were stolen out of her car.
When the community heard her story they responded in a big way.
Several people reached out after the story and wanted to help buy 3-year-old Jeih-Lah Christmas presents. Constance said around 500 people reached out to her asking the same thing. She has since received several presents for Jeih-Lah from all over.
She has been given money from complete strangers.
Sunday night The Coins Club from Bessemer invited her along with 150 other families to come pick out presents for their children for free.
Constance tries to explain all the emotions.
"Oh my gosh, they have been overwhelmingly and seriously a blessing. Like, I am just so thankful for all the gifts, text and Facebook messages. I am overwhelmed. Thank you so much," Constance said.
Constance said that this will be the best Christmas for her and Jeih-Lah.
