JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A blind date in Walker County ended with a woman being pushed out of a car and deputies chasing the date, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
The woman was riding with 22-year-old Jesse Allen Elliot of Hayden in a Mazda when deputies pulled him over for a traffic violation on I-22 and Cherry Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26.
Elliot told the deputy he didn't have his driver's license on him, but gave a name and a birth date the deputy later learned was fake.
When the deputy went to his car to verify the information, Elliot pushed his female passenger out and sped away.
The deputy chased the car into Walker County until the suspect's driving became too erratic and dangerous to continue.
Another deputy picked up the female passenger where she was dropped off. She was not hurt and told deputies that she had just met Elliot and had been on a blind date with him when they were pulled over. Deputies gave her a ride home.
The sheriff's office identified Elliot as the suspect in the chase. He has outstanding misdemeanor warrants and a suspended driver's license.
Authorities expect to charge Elliot with driving while license suspended and attempting to elude.
