Cordova Army veteran wins Operation Room Retreat makeover

CORDOVA, AL (WBRC) - A Cordova man has his wife and Operation Room Retreat to thank for a space that he can call his own in his new home.

Joshua Randall, a seven-year Army veteran, was announced as the winner of the Operation Room Retreat Friday on WBRC's Good Day Alabama.

Randall's office/den area will be converted into a "man cave," as his wife, Brandi, called it.

"This room will give him his own space," she said.

Brandi Randall nominated her husband after seeing a call for submissions on Facebook.

WBRC FOX6 News and Active Heroes provide a custom room makeover to a deserving military family in the area with the help of sponsors Jasper Honda/Hyundai, Jack's, Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists, Nichols Outfitters, Hill's Carpet & Floor Coverings, Window World of Central Alabama, Shipp Roofing, Andy on Call, OnTime Electric, eCo Credit Union, Frank's Furniture Warehouse and Grout Tech.

Brandi Randall said she wanted to do something for her husband, who she described as giving and quick to lend a helping hand.

"He has sacrificed so much for us," she said. "I wanted to do something special for him."

The finished product of the makeover will be unveiled live on Good Day Alabama on Dec. 9.
