Community activists, NAACP speak about 4-year-old shot to death
BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The NAACP along with several other community activist groups are speaking out about a 4-year-old boy's tragic death.
On Monday, community activists called for the person responsible for the little boy's death to come forward.
The activists also asked for more police presence in the community, saying they don't think police are doing enough to support the grieving family and the community.
"Right now we have one mother, one grandmother that's grieving. It would be careless for us as a community not to come together to avoid another mother and grandmother to be grieving at the hands of violence," said community activist Le'Darius Hilliard.
Following that presser the group decided to walk the neighborhood on an effort to try and get answers.
In the last few minutes, councilors and more police arrived before the vigil for the little boy.
