TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Tuscaloosa man on Saturday at 6:05 p.m.
Police say 46-year-old Brian Lee Swindle was killed when the 2005 Ford Focus he was a passenger in left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.
Swindle was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to DCH Regional Medial Center. He was pronounced dead at 7:19 p.m. due to his injuries.
The driver, 24-year-old Michael Hunter Boyd, and another passenger were not injured, according to police.
The crash occurred on Bear Creek Road, less than one mile south of Tuscaloosa.
State troopers continue to investigate the accident.
