SUMTER COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A man has been arrested after four people were shot in Sumter County.
Authorities say the victims were shot in Panola in Sumter County and drove into Pickens County trying to get help.
Three of the victims are 16, 25 and 42 years old. Troopers say they will all be OK.
The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 26 at a home in the 400 block of Piney Grove Drive, authorities said.
The victims were headed to a hospital in a personal vehicle and had called 911 when law enforcement showed up at the scene. Police stayed until ambulances arrived.
Leonard Lockett, 27, has been arrested on attempted murder, assault and shooting into an occupied building charges, Sumter County investigators said.
The State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting and will turn over their findings to the Sumter County District Attorney's Office, State Trooper Reginal King said.
