ST. CLAIR COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A St. Clair Correction Facility correctional officer has been arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and promoting contraband within a state correction facility, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC).
ADOC officials say Deandre Price, 23, resigned after his arrest. He starting working with ADOC in May 2016.
Officials say Price was searched Tuesday when he reported for work and that's when other officers found he had illegal drugs and other contraband.
He has been booked into the St. Clair County Jail.
