HOOVER, AL (WBRC) - Paul Mitchell The School Birmingham hosted a cancer survivor beauty and support day on Tuesday.

Free services like hair cuts, shampoos, makeovers, and manicures were offered for patients and survivors.

Staff and students say it's important to let the women know they are beautiful and strong.

"They've been through a lot, these cancers survivors. They have days where they don't feel good, they don't feel like getting out of bed, they're losing their hair, they haven't been able to put on makeup or feel pretty or feel good about themselves for a possible while now. So we just want them, for their perseverance, to know they're cared about and loved," said a staff member.

Women who attended the special day said they really enjoyed being pampered.
