Man found shot to death in Ensley backyard identified

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Birmingham police have identified the man found shot to death in Ensley.
Hanif Russ, 24, was found in the backyard of a residence Thursday evening in the 1500 block of 34th Street Ensley, according to a news release.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Russ was not a resident of the house and didn't live in the area.
The shooting is still under investigation.
