FULTONDALE, AL (WBRC) - A Jefferson County Circuit judge denied a request to reduce the bond for a 20-year-old man charged in the Feb. 10 shooting of a 67-year-old Fultondale man.

Joshua Dixon is charged with murder in the death of Ronald "Ronnie" Fassina. Police say Fassina was shot at his Chapel Hills subdivision home in Fultondale late on Wednesday, Feb. 10. Fassina died four days later at UAB Hospital.

Police arrested Dixon and 22-year-old Kameron David. Both were initially charged with robbery, kidnapping and burglary. Following Fassina's death, authorities charged David with capital murder and Dixon with felony murder.

Dixon, who appeared during Thursday's hearing, repeatedly attempted to hide his face from a television camera outside the courtroom. He is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a combined bond of $460,000.

Police previously said the adult son of Fassina brought David and Dixon to his father's home. Investigators believe a dispute over money led to the shooting. David was also shot during the incident.

David is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on no bond.
