NORTHPORT, AL (WBRC) - If you order a Domino's pizza inside Northport city limits over the next two days you could get a special delivery.

A smoke detector could come with the pizza. Domino's makes the pizzas. When firefighters deliver them, they'll ask to check your smoke alarm.

You get a free pizza if your smoke detector is working.

If you don't have one, they'll give you a smoke detector and install it for free in your bedroom.

Firefighters say the "Hear the Beep When You Sleep" campaign makes it more likely you'll survive if there's a fire in your home.

"If you don't have a working smoke detector, you know your survival rate is less than 50 percent and that's almost like playing Russian roulette when it comes to house fires," Capt. Roger Potter with Northport Fire Rescue said.

The smoke alarm campaign between Northport Fire Rescue and Domino's is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
