16-year-old identified as homicide victim in Bessemer

BESSEMER, AL (WBRC) - A teenager has been identified as a homicide victim in Bessemer.

The Jefferson County Coroner's office confirms the body of 16-year-old Mindarrious Hannah was found Saturday afternoon in a wooded area near the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and Bluebell Street by the Burstall community.

Officers received reports of a person shot around 4:45 p.m. Responders discovered a black male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Authorities say Hannah suffered multiple gunshot wounds. No arrests have been made in this case.
