GARDENDALE, AL (WBRC) - It was a packed house Saturday at the new Gardendale Historical Museum.
For about a year the Gardendale Historical Society has been collecting items from the city's past to preserve. This small museum is a first for the area.
The Gardendale Historical Society's president Kermit Dooley said that he hopes that the museum will help younger generations understand how the people of Gardendale became connected.
"To do something like this you've got to love history. This is not a money making business for us. This is something to bring to the citizens of this area that will let them go back in time," said Kermit Dooley, President of the Gardendale Historical Society.
