Terri Sewell, Martha Roby first women elected to U.S. House from Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Terri Sewell and Martha Roby were elected to the U.S. House Tuesday night, marking the first time in history a woman -- or two, were elected to represent Alabama in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sewell (D) and Roby (R) defeated their opponents Tuesday. Sewell will represent District 7 and Roby will represent District 2.
