J-P Dice is the former chief meteorologist at WBRC FOX6 News and now a digital weather contributor for the First Alert Weather Team. J-P has worked as a meteorologist for over 25 years in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Gainesville, FL.
J-P was the first meteorologist awarded the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal in Alabama and the 21st the nation to earn this distinction. He also holds the National Weather Association Seal of Approval.
In 2004, J-P played a key role in the development of the first dual polarimetric Doppler radar used for broadcast meteorologist. It was technology that would eventually become standard. J-P has a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast News from The University of Florida and a Master of Science in Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
J-P is also a full-time corporate pilot.
