2 arrested following incident at high school football game in Millbrook

ELMORE COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - Two men were arrested Friday night following an incident during the Stanhope Elmore vs. Prattville High School Football game in Millbrook.

Police say the incident began when Millbrook officers, who were providing security for the event, noticed two people in the stands engaging in disorderly behavior. Police said one of the two was in possession of a knife.

When officers tried escorting the men out of the stadium, they began to resist, police say.

Additional officers were called, and an altercation ensued, which involved several people trying to stop police from escorting the men away.

Police say they arrested Arterius Smith, 23, of Montgomery and Anthony Smith, 63, also of Montgomery, for disorderly conduct.

Both men were taken to the Millbrook Police Department and have since been released on bond.
