ALICEVILLE, Ala. (WBRC) - The Aliceville Police Chief has confirmed that a 63-year-old man missing since last Wednesday has been identified as the pedestrian hit and killed on I-359 last week.

Ray Charles Lewis was last seen in Pickens Co. on June 1. The accident on the interstate occurred on June 2. An autopsy from the Alabama Department of Forensic Science positively identified his body.

Aliceville Police Chief Tonnie Jones asks the community to keep the Lewis Family in their thoughts and prayers.

ORIGINAL: ALEA issued a Missing and Endangered Person Alert Monday, June 6, 2022, for a missing 63-year-old man.

The Aliceville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Ray Charles Lewis. Officials said the 63-year-old Lewis may be living with a condition that may impair his judgement.

He was last seen on June 1, 2022, at 3:00 pm near Tilley Hamlett Drive in Aliceville, Alabama.
