Birmingham firefighters investigate apartment fire

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Birmingham Fire Rescue crews are investigating a fire at 3013 Panorama Terr. Apt. D.

Battalion Chief Jackie Hicks said they got a call of smoke and fire before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Hicks said everyone got out and no one was hurt in the fire. Firefighters rescued three people from the 2nd level. A firefighter did hurt his shoulder while moving a hose.

Ten units were affected. Five units had fire damage, and all ten had smoke and water damage.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire pretty quickly, they then went through the attic to put out hot spots.
