Woman killed during domestic shooting in Adamsville identified

ADAMSVILLE, Ala. (WBRC) - A woman was killed on Sunday during a domestic shooting.

The Jefferson County coroner identified the victim as 41-year-old Nakeshia Thalia Biggs.

Adamsville Chief Warren Cotton says the shooting happened in the 5500 block of Crestview Dr.

The coroner said Biggs was shot in the head while at her home.

According to a Facebook post made by the school, Biggs was a teacher at Midfield High School.

A man is in custody, but no formal charges have been made yet, according to Chief Cotton.
