TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Alabama softball is back in Tuscaloosa after their season came to an end Monday night in the Women’s College World Series.

Although the Crimson Tide lost to Florida State Monday night in the semifinals out in Oklahoma City, dozens of fans welcomed the Tide Tuesday afternoon at Rhoads Stadium.

Alabama ends its season at 52-9 including an SEC Championship.

Alabama softball coach Patrick Murphy opened up about what he takes away from this year’s team.

“Probably just their fight. Last night on the line up card, it was hashtag fight, I think they brought it, but just the fight in this group was outstanding,” Murphy said.
