SUMTER COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - Two children and a woman were killed in Sumter County Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash.

Ciarra Dalton Stephens, 35, of York was killed when the 2005 Kia Sedona she was driving left the road and hit a tree around 6 p.m.

Stephens and two of her passengers, a 6 and 7 were not using seat belts and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other passengers were hurt and taken to area hospitals for treatment.

The crash happened on Sumter County 27, approximately six miles west of York.
