Arrest after Georgia man died from blunt force trauma, discovered in motel

BESSEMER, Ala. (WBRC) - The Jefferson County Coroner said a Georgia man was found dead inside a room at the Quality Inn Motel in Bessemer on Saturday, April 17.

The coroner said 46-year-old Sean P. Coker, of Augusta, was discovered by a motel employee inside one of the rooms.

Coker was found to have sustained blunt force trauma.

Detectives with Bessemer Police Department have signed murder warrants on Adrianna Stephens, 28, and Isiah Atkins, 32, for murder. Stephens and Atkins were arrested in Bessemer on April 20, 2021 after a brief vehicle pursuit.

Stephens has a $60,000 bond for murder and Atkins has a $60,500 bond for murder and attempting to elude. Both have been transferred to the Jefferson County jail.
